Violation scoring and risk profiling Feature

When a compliance incident occurs, evaluating it in a vacuum doesn't give you the full picture. A minor policy slip-up by an entry-level employee carries a different weight than the same mistake made by a financial director or a system architect.

To bridge this gap, we are proud to introduce our Violation scoring and risk profiling. This update empowers compliance, HR, and risk teams to automatically calculate, track, and analyse exposure at both the individual employee and manager levels.

Introducing "Risk profiling"

We have introduced a brand-new Position severity attribute for users, fully integrated into the Dossier/Profiles.

Not all roles carry the same level of organisational exposure. This new attribute automatically maps an employee's role severity to their profile risk. If an employee's position is designated as "Critical," their baseline risk profile reflects that impact and scores.

Individual Personage Violation Scores

On an individual level, the scoring engine keeps a meticulous audit trail. When an incident is submitted, points are awarded based on a combination of the Sub-Category (nature of the violation), the individual's Position Risk (role severity) and the Impact of the case.

The platform automatically aggregates these historical infractions into a cumulative violation score visible directly on the user's profile, laying a transparent foundation for standardised disciplinary thresholds.

Managers Score for Their Subordinates

The most impactful part of this feature is how the platform handles managerial risk. Managers are no longer passive observers; they now directly accumulate risk scores based on the behaviour of their subordinates.

How the Scoring Engine Works

The platform calculates risk dynamically by combining multiple layers of data. When an incident is logged, points are awarded based on a 4-part matrix:

Sub-Category: Weighting based on the nature of the violation (e.g., data leak vs. minor attendance issue).

Profile Riskiness (The Position severity): Adjusting the score based on how critical or sensitive the offender's role is within the organisation.

Case Impact: Different Impacts with the different scores.

Manager Snapshots: Aggregating team scores to calculate an average risk baseline for leadership oversight.

Formula Flexibility

Every organisation handles risk differently. Therefore, the scoring engine does not lock you into a single methodology. In your settings, you can configure the exact logic that drives your dashboards, for example:

  • Cumulative/Accumulated Model: Points keep adding up over time, highlighting chronic policy violators.

  • Average Model: Tracks rolling averages to understand the general behavioural trend of an individual or an entire department.

Important: Scores will be calculated only when the case is proven or partially proven, and it is closed.

Why This Matters: Data-Driven Disciplinary Actions

The ultimate goal of the Scoring & Risk Profiling System is to remove human bias from HR and compliance decisions.

By having an automated, transparent score attached to every User Dossier, your organisation can set clear, standardised thresholds for disciplinary actions.
